Most people can make a new dietary change work for a few days to a few weeks to, for example, shed a few pounds or in preparation for surgery.

It typically starts off well once we've set our mind to it, but the common problem people have is that the initial motivation and good intentions quickly wane if the diet has to be prolonged and they reach a point where these are not enough to keep them going.Â
Making a lifestyle change for the longterm, however, requires a strong desire and commitment to a cause, whether that's to manage a chronic health problem, to protect and reduce cruelty to animals, or to contribute to improving the environment in which we live.Â

There are practical things which need to be done, and my wisdom, extensive clinical experience and expertise, is derived from not only making countless complex and arduous dietary changes with my own autoimmune disease and principles over the years, but also from my deep understanding of the scientific evidence from studying health psychology and conducting hundreds of sessions with clients.
