Foods that fight chronic inflammation
Chronic inflammation has been Iinked to several severe and enduring conditions, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, depression, autoimmune diseases, and Alzheimer's. Eating foods rich in properties which can combat inflammation will promote good health and prevent and/or reverse disease.
Foods high in antioxidant properties that make a significant impact on fighting chronic inflmmation include fruits, especially tomatoes and berries, vegetables such as leafy/dark greens such as kale and broccoli, nuts and seeds, whole grains, and legumes i.e., peas, beans and lentils.
Increasing more of these foods into our diet on a daily basis, along with increased activity and movement, and reduced stress levels, can make a noticeable difference to reducing inflammatory symptoms, and to our general health and well-being.
